Bonds are an alternative investment option for financing companies of all sizes. They can be listed on both the Regulated and the Alternative Market of the Athens Stock Exchange. We offer a streamlined listing procedure for bonds, allowing you to complete your corporate bond issuance in less than 8 weeks.
Regulated Market Listing Process
- Submission of application for listing of corporate bonds to the Regulated Market, along with all required documentation
- Approval of the listing application by ATHEX
- Prospectus approval by the Hellenic Capital Market Commission
- Bond offer, provided that the corporate bond has already been issued at the time of the application
- Start of trading of bonds

Alternative Market Listing Process
- Applying for the admission of corporate bonds in the ATHEX Alternative Market and furnishing the necessary supporting documents
- Presentation to the EN.A Evaluation Committee (solely in the event of an issuer not listed/admitted in an ATHEX market)
- ATHEX approval for the admission of corporate bonds
- Bond offer, provided that the corporate bonds have already been issued at the time of the application
- Start of trading of bonds

Green Bonds
Sustainable development and ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) are among the most important topics for issuers, investors and the capital markets worldwide.
In January 2022, ATHEX launched the special information hub ATHEX BONDS GREENet, in the context of its continuous actions to support and enhance the tools that Greek enterprises have in order to successfully respond to the emerging demands related to sustainable development.
ATHEX BONDS GREENet is a centralized display of Green Bonds, Social Bonds, Sustainable Bonds and Sustainability Linked Bonds, which are listed on ATHEX markets and follow internationally recognized principles/standards (ICMA, CBI Certification).
ATHEX BONDS GREENet does not constitute a separate trading venue, market or segment of Law 4514/2018, but it is an information hub exclusively for the purposes of updating and displaying.
