For businesses of all industries, listing on the Athens Stock Exchange represents a pivotal strategic decision. The Athens Stock Exchange operates two distinct markets to facilitate companies' access to capital: the Regulated Market and the Alternative Market. 

The Regulated Market aligns with international practices, is fully harmonized with European standards and is supervised by the Hellenic Capital Market Commission (HCMC). It primarily caters to medium- and large-sized companies with growth prospects, offering opportunities for cross-border capital raising and inclusion in European stock market indices. The listing process and post-listing obligations for listed companies are similar to those of other European stock exchanges.

The Alternative Market (EN.A.) targets dynamic small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) exhibiting promising growth prospects. As a Multilateral Trading Facility (MTF), as defined in the EU's Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID), it features flexible listing and ongoing participation criteria and is overseen by the Athens Stock Exchange. Trading and settlement of shares on the Alternative Market follow similar procedures as on the Regulated Market.
