This program is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of Investor Relations (IR), highlight the critical role IR plays within a company, and introduce the essential tools and strategies for effectively managing company’s value. Timely, accurate, and transparent communication between a company with publicly traded securities (such as stocks and/or bonds) and its various stakeholders can significantly impact the company’s reputation and market value. In this context, Investor Relations is crucial in balancing the informational needs of the investment community with the company’s regulatory obligations, as well as the communication requirements of the Board of Directors and senior management team.

Purpose
The goal of the seminar is to analyze the structure and complexity of Investor Relations in companies, to highlight the importance of the IRO's role in today’s business environment, particularly in the current context in Greece, as well as the key responsibilities associated with this role. This will ultimately help listed companies increase their business value and improve their access to the capital and liquidity offered by the capital markets.
Objectives
Training IROs or other executives responsible for internal communication within the company, enabling them to perform IR duties professionally and implement industry best practices.
Showcasing best practices in utilizing various IR communication channels, both with the investment community and internally with the Board of Directors and senior management.

Instructor's short bio
George Panagopoulos, CFA
George Panagopoulos, CFA, was working until March 2024 as an Investor Relation Officer at National Bank of Greece.
During that period, George was involved in all strategic and day-to-day functions of the Investor Relations Division, such as the preparation of Group’s quarterly results IR material, analysis of market trends and communication with analysts and rating agencies. Before that period, George has served, inter alia, as a Relation Manager for high net-worth clients and a Credit Analyst. Currently, he works as an Investment Strategist at the Private Banking Division of the bank.
George Panagopoulos has been a member of the Board of Directors of CFA Society Greece since November 2021 and was appointed Vice-President in July 2023.
Mr. Panagopoulos holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial management & technology from University of Piraeus and a MSc in Finance & Banking for Executives from Athens University of Economics and Business. He is a CFA charter holder.
