ANNOUNCEMENT

PAYMENT DATE OF THE ORDINARY DIVIDEND FOR THE FISCAL YEARS 2000-2001

According to the decision of the first Assembly General Meeting of "Hellenic Exchanges Holding S.A." on May 21^st 2002, the remaining dividend amounts to ? 0.18 per share.

The beneficiaries of the remaining dividend are the Company's shareholders on 21.5.2002, based on the registered shareholder record. As from Wednesday, May 22^nd 2002, the company's shares are traded on the Athens Stock Exchange, without the right on the remaining dividend.

The payment of the remaining dividend will begin on Friday, June 21^st 2002 with the mailing of crossed checks to the addresses that have been stated by the beneficiaries in the Dematerialised Securities System.
