Dr. Ioakeim Sigalas was appointed to the post of General Manager of European Interbalkan Medical Center, a member of Athens Medical Group. Dr. Sigalas has been a top executive in the medical service sector and has gained long administrative experience at major hospitals. Dr. Sigalas studied Economics in Thessaloniki and went on to the School of Economic and Social Sciences of the University of Cologne, where he specialized in Business Administration and Management. He also holds a Doctor?s Degree from the Department of Medicine of the School of Health Sciences at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He has extensive scientific and research experience with numerous publications and a rich teaching record. Dr. Sigalas has served as Administrative Director at AHEPA University Hospital, at "Theageneio" Cancer Hospital and other major hospitals of Thessaloniki ("Hippokrateion", "G. Papanikolaou"). He was also the Director of the 4th Health Region of Macedonia-Thrace and an Advisor to the Ministry of Health. All hospitals he has served at were successfully reconstructed and reorganized under his management.
Dr. Sigalas has also been a Scientific Associate of the Pharmacology Department, a member of the 1st Level Disciplinary Council for medical issues concerning all agencies within the jurisdiction of the 4th Health Region of Macedonia-Thrace. He is also a member of various Boards, Committees and Societies/Associations.
