3M' 10 FINANCIAL RESULTS FOR THE COMPANY AND GROUP
"ALUMIL - ALUMINIUM EXTRUSION INDUSTRY S.A." administration announces an increase in gross and operating profits, while losses are limited in comparison with the corresponding quarter of 2009. In particular, gross profits significantly increased by approximately 39.6%, reaching € 9.5 mil., compared to € 6.8 mil. in 1Q 2009, while EBITDA, reached € 3.9 mil., compared to € 0.3 mil. for 1Q 2009. Losses before taxes improved, reaching € 0.9 mil., compared to 1Q 2009 (losses € 6.9 mil.). Consequently, losses per share reached € 0.058 (losses € 0.3926 for 1Q 2009).
Group presented a decrease in sales by 4.2%, reaching € 40.4 mil., compared to € 42.1 mil. in 1Q 2009. This reduction is due to the further decline in construction activity in Greece during the first quarter of 2010.
Regarding parent company financials, 1Q 2010 turnover decreased by almost 0.8%, to € 29.2 mil., compared to € 29.5 mil. in 1Q 2009. EBITDA reached € 2 mil., compared to 1Q 2009 (minus € 2.4 mil. approximately). Losses before taxes reached € 0.7 mil., compared to 1Q 2009 (losses € 6.8 mil.) and net results after taxes reached minus € 0.5 mil., compared to 1Q 2009 (losses € 7.2 m.).
