ALUMIL ALUMINIUM INDUSTRY S.A.
Confirmation on financial releases.
ALUMIL administration confirms financial releases published on June 9th, 2008, in financial newspaper "IMERISIA" and the portal "EURO2DAY".
In particular, Company's administration signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Russian company "KONSTRUKTA", for the establishment of a joint-venture within the next months. ALUMIL will hold 51% of the venture and the Russian company the remaining 49%, while other probable co operations with Russian companies are also examined on a close basis. Through venture, two logistic centres will be built, in St. Petersburg and in the south-eastern part of the country. The Russian company exploits a sound commercial network throughout Russia and significant real estate assets in Moscow, where another logistics centre will be built.
ALUMIL administration also considers probable the possibility of cooperation with the Austrian construction group "Strabag".
International development is now intensified through partnerships with local profile producers, operating as subcontractors for Group's integrated profile systems. This growth model is followed by subsidiary Alumil Gulf (Gulf area), where cooperation is under way with a local aluminium extrusion company. A similar initiative will be resumed in India - now supplied from subsidiary in the UAE - as well as in the USA.
In the Greek market, the company develops intense activity in the renovations field, in cooperation with companies "ISOMAT" and "POLYKEM"; now promotes the thermal-brake system "Kelyfos".
Regarding 2008 financials, Administration confirms growth, unless unfavorable conditions prevail in LME prices (aluminum billets).
