On April 12, 2005, Mr.Spyros Capralos, Chairman of the Athens Exchange, Mr.Socrates Lazarides, Vice-Chairman of the Athens Exchange and Mr.Konstantinos Pentedekas, Member of the ATHEX Board of Directors visited Romania and in particular, the Bucharest Stock Exchange.

The delegation of the Athens Exchange discussed with the Chairman and the Board of Directors of the Bucharest Stock Exchange issues concerning the collaboration of the two exchanges. More specifically, Mr.S.Capralos was called to open the trading session of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, in a special ceremony that was organized at the Exchange in front of the Romanian Mass media. Next, the Greek delegation visited Mr.Zsolt Nagy, the Romanian Communications Minister as well as the Romanian Capital Market Commission.

The visit of the ATHEX Chairman and its colleagues is consistent with the ATHEX's policy of enhancing further its international cooperation with the stock exchanges of South-eastern European countries.
