The Athens Stock Exchange today welcomed the management, executives, and partners of Autohellas to mark the successful launch of its bond trading on the Athens Stock Exchange's Main Market on Wednesday, January 24. The CEO of Autohellas, Mr. Eftychios Vasilakis, kicked off the session by ringing the traditional bell.

In his remarks, the CEO of the Athens Exchange Group, Mr. Yianos Kontopoulos, praised the impressive success of the issuance, noting that the public offering was oversubscribed by 2.3 times, with the raised capital totaling 453 million euros. "Autohellas celebrates 25 years of being listed on the Athens Stock Exchange. When it first started, its market capitalization was around 270 million euros. Today, its stock is part of the top 25 companies by market capitalization on our exchange, with a valuation of 660 million euros," Mr. Kontopoulos stated.

On his part, Mr. Vasilakis emphasized: "The issuance of the €200 million bond represents another key milestone in Autohellas’ journey. Our goal is to strengthen our competitiveness, focusing on our people and synergies within our group companies, while also intensifying innovation and development. Today also marks the continuation and evolution of our 25-year relationship of trust and collaboration with the Athens Stock Exchange. On behalf of the Board of Directors, I would like to warmly thank everyone who supported Autohellas in this important step of our growth strategy."

The Chair of the Capital Markets Commission, Ms. Vasiliki Lazarakou, congratulated Autohellas and its CEO, Mr. Vasilakis, on the successful bond issuance, stating that the outlook for the Greek economy is positive, which is reflected in the growth of the Greek capital market. Ms. Lazarakou also expressed her gratitude to the Commission's executives and emphasized that the Capital Markets Commission supports the business efforts of companies, ensuring the timely issuance of necessary approvals to align with the business plans of listed companies.
