Successful Conclusion of the “2023 ATHEX Digital Technology Forum

 The “2023 ATHEX Digital Technology Forum” concluded successfully on Tuesday, February 7^th, 2023, with in-person participation at the Athens Stock Exchange.

The goal of the forum was to promote dialogue about the benefits and challenges faced by listed companies in the digital technology sector. Participants had the opportunity to learn about the progress of listed companies in recent years, the current dynamics at the Athens Stock Exchange, and the various financing tools and services provided by the exchange to its listed companies.

Among the speakers at the event were Mr. Alexis Patelis, Head of Prime Minister's Economic Office, and Mr. Christos Dimas, Deputy Minister of Development and Investments, responsible for Research and Innovation.

Mr. Alexis Patelis noted: "The Athens Stock Exchange is once again on a path of recovery, and I truly believe that, through initiatives like these, the digital technology companies that list on the Athens Stock Exchange will derive significant benefits from this decision." He added, "It is crucial for all of us to support this national effort, as it is in the best interest of every Greek company to create the critical mass necessary to transform the Stock Exchange into a technology exchange."

Mr. Christos Dimas emphasized: "With this forum, the Athens Exchange Group (ATHEXGroup) expands its influence on the Greek economy by informing the business community about financing tools and sustainable business practices for digital technology companies. This makes it easier for small and medium-sized enterprises or even startups to consider joining the Athens Stock Exchange, which will enhance their competitiveness and international presence."

Mr. Yianos Kontopoulos, CEO of the Athens Exchange Group, referred to the remarkable growth of listed digital technology companies in recent years, presenting relevant data on the sector as a whole, and discussed why listing on the Athens Stock Exchange can be an important option for the sustainable development of companies, highlighting the particular advantages offered by the domestic market.

In a panel discussion that followed, Ms. Vasiliki Anagnostou, Deputy CEO of Epsilon Net, Mr. Apostolos Georgantzis, CEO of Quest Group, Mr. Lampros Papakonstantinou, President of Ideal Holdings, and Mr. Nikos Koskoletos, CFO of the Athens Exchange Group, shared their experiences with listing on the Stock Exchange and discussed areas where further improvements could be made. The event was moderated by Mr. Dimitris Mallas, journalist at CNN Greece.
