The FTSE/ASE Committee will hold the semi-annual meeting for the review of the FTSE/ASE indices on 20/5/2003 instead of 23/4/2003 taking into account the free float and the capitalization of the shares as of 30/3/2003.

The postponement has been decided so that the working team of the review has enough time to elaborate and submit to the Committee the shares that are eligible according to the Ground Rules of the FTSE/ASE indices, given that are not in a continuous trading status during the whole trading day are not eligible for the indices.

As per the Regulation 95 on 23/12/2002 of the Board Directors of the Athens Exchange, concerning the duration of the trading of the shares and their subsequent accession in tth3-hours or the 5-hours trading status will take place during the first meeting of the Athens Exchange Board of Directors on May 2003. Moreover, a possibility of accession to the eligible shares will be given to the shares for which the Athens Exchange Board of Directors will approve the commencement of their Market Maker trading by 12/5/2003 on condition that no other clause of the Ground Rules is violated.

The constituents of the FTSE/ ASE indices will be announced on 20. 5. 2003 and they will be effective as of 2/ 6/ 2003.
