In the presence of numerous representatives from various sectors of the business community and the capital market ecosystem, the Athens Exchange Group officially presented its new corporate image and identity to the public on Wednesday, December 11.

The refreshed corporate image draws inspiration from the long history of the Stock Exchange, maintaining its historical link to the symbol of Hermes, and further utilizing the shape of his wings as a connecting thread between the institution’s long-standing history and its future. Hermes’ wings also symbolize the dynamism and flexibility of the Athens Stock Exchange, suggesting positive change, progress, and the development of the organization.

The message of broader development and transformation of the Athens Stock Exchange was conveyed in speeches by both the Chairman of the Board, Mr. George Handjinicolaou, and the CEO of the Athens Exchange Group, Mr. Yianos Kontopoulos, during yesterday's event.

Mr. George Handjinicolaou, Chairman of the Board, emphasized, among other points: “Recently, following global trends and demands, the Athens Exchange Group has made remarkable progress in its operations. We have embraced digital transformation, modernized our systems and services, issued a new regulation, adopted sustainable practices, and adopted an outward-facing orientation. Our new image highlights our company’s commitment to adapting to the significant challenges of today and successfully seizing the opportunities emerging in the global environment.”

Mr. Yianos Kontopoulos, highlighting the key pillars of the Athens Stock Exchange’s evolution over the past three years, stated: “Our new identity reflects the gradual transformation of our organization. It highlights the significant steps we have taken toward modernization, internationalization, and further growth. It mirrors our essential and multifaceted transformation as a response to the urgent need to adapt to the rapidly changing financial environment, as well as to the conditions of both the global and Greek economies. Through the important changes we've made at the Athens Stock Exchange, we're reshaping our role as a trusted partner for investors and companies. In this way, we are ‘signing’ our commitment to innovation and sustainable development.”

The official presentation of the new corporate image and identity was followed by a panel discussion titled: “The Athens Stock Exchange and Its Role in the Growth of the Greek Economy” The discussion, moderated by journalist Mr. Apostolos Maggiriadis, featured the participation of Mr. Alexis Patelis, Head of the Prime Minister’s Economic Office, Mr. Petros Tzanetakis, Deputy CEO of Motor Oil, and Mr. Yianos Kontopoulos.
