Within the framework of this contract, INTRACOM undertook the development and installation of the new advanced-technology communication system 'WISPR Net', which offers advanced intercom functions and supports the control of the regular communication systems.

'WISPR Net' has been exclusively developed by INTRACOM as an innovative digital telecommunications system for warships. The state-of-the-art technology used, offers security, reliability, expandability, and upgradability, while 'WISPR Net can by all means constitute the required communication basis for the implementation of a Command, Control and Communication system (C4I).

'WISPR Net' incorporates ? for the first time in systems of the sort - a high-speed data management capability, allowing the support of new services and applications, such as Video Teleconference, Telemedicine, etc. WISPR Net?s advanced capabilities attracted NATO's interest, which requested for an official presentation to Navy Officers of its state-members, as well as its Command Control Communications Agency (NC3A). It should be noted that the system in question has been offered as an integrated communication system within the framework of the Hellenic Navy?s New Corvette Program.

As a whole, INTRACOM has developed a significant activity in advanced-technology intercommunication systems. The Greek Armed Forces have already opted for and in fact use WISPR technology in land communications systems, while several renowned foreign companies have expressed their interest in incorporating INTRACOM products in complex weapon systems.
