subsidiary "NATIONAL BANK OF GREECE (CANADA)" to Scotiabank.
NATIONAL BANK OF GREECE S.A. announced today that it HAS REACHED AN AGREEMENT FOR THE SALE OF ITS SUBSIDIARYcompany "NATIONAL BANK OF GREECE (CANADA)" TO Scotiabank.This decision by the management of NBG secures in the best possible way the interests of both the clients and employees of the subsidiary company, by incorporating its network within a leading credit institution in Canada. The bank's clients will have access to the full range of modern and high-quality banking products & services of NBG. The company "Keefe, Bruyette & Woods, Inc." was NBG's financial advisor. It is noted that Scotiabank is one of the most important financial institutions of North America and has the stongest international presence among Canadian Banks. With almost 48,000 employees, it services around 10 million clients in 50 countries around the world. It offers a wide range of products & services in businesses and private entities. Its assets amount to $309 billion, while its share is traded on the Toronto & New York Stock Exchanges.
