Meeting with international analysts at the Athens Stock Exchange regarding the Greek economy and capital market

The Greek economy and its prospects, as well as the structure of the Greek capital market and its investment prospects will be presented to a group of 25 international financial analysts and market analysts, who arrived in Athens on May 15, 2002 and they are members of international investment firms. The two- day meeting is organized by the Athens Stock Exchange.

On May 15, 2002, during the first meeting, the Chairman of the Greek Industries Association, Mr. Od. Kyriakopoulos, will address a speech on the subject of "the Greek companies in the new era of the European Union".

The meeting on May 16, 2002 includes three main unities, during which speeches will be addressed, which will be followed by a debate and questions.

More specifically, as regards the program of the meeting, the macroeconomic situation of the Greek economy will be presented. The speakers will be Mr. G. Zanias, General Secretary of the Ministry of National Economy and Finance, on the subject of "the Greek Economy, Performance and Prospects" and Mr. C. Sardelis, General Manager of the Organization for the Management of Public Debt, on the subject of "Restructure of the debt and the development of the Greek market of bonds in the era of the Financial and Currency Union".

In the second part, which refers to the structure of the Greek capital market, Mr. P. Alexakis, President of the Athens Stock Exchange, will present the "statutory framework and characteristics of the Greek capital market, the challenges and Action Plans of the Athens Stock Exchange", Mr. X. Avlonitis, Head of the Department of Listed Companies of the Capital Market Commission, will present the "Code of Conduct of companies listed on the Athens Stock Exchange" and Mr. P. Drakos, Chairman of the Companies Listed on the Athens Stock Exchange Association, will refer to the "Investment Opportunities on the Athens Stock Exchange".

The third part includes presentations of listed companies from various sectors of the Athens Stock Exchange (non mineral ores and cement, food, information systems, holdings) on the basis of the selection of international analysts, so as to be able to form a representative picture regarding the companies listed on the Athens Stock Exchange.
