Its mobile telephony subsidiary GLOBUL (Cosmobulgaria) was officially granted a UMTS (3G) license from the Bulgarian authorities.
Αthens, April 26, 2005- Hellenic Telecommunications Organization SA (ASE: HTO, NYSE: OTE) the Greek full-service telecommunications provider, announces that on the 25th of April, its mobile telephony subsidiary GLOBUL (Cosmobulgaria) was officially granted a UMTS (3G) license from the Bulgarian authorities. The total cost of the license was BNG 42 m. As previously announced, on April 20th 2005, OTE and COSMOTE agreed on the transfer of Globul and Cosmofon to COSMOTE, a transaction that is in progress, and subject to the approval of the relevant authorities.
