In the context of the effort to provide better information to the investment public and the Capital Market factors, the Athens Stock Exchange will proceed to the formation and use of the ''All Shares Index''  of the shares of the ASE.

This Index is being calculated on a daily basis since 1988 and is published in the Monthly Statistical Bulletin of the ASE. As of June 1, 2001, the Index will be published in the ASE Daily Official List, while in due time the Index will be calculated on a real time basis during the trading session by the OASIS System.

The purpose of the use of the Index is to provide a trustworthy tool for the monitoring of the trends and behavior of the share prices of all the listed shares on the Athens Stock Exchange apart from the shares, which are ''under supervision'' or ''under suspension'' .
