INTRACOM S.A. HOLDINGS

Intraom undertkaes the extension of IKA's (the Greek Social Security Foundation) Medical Services Demand Management System.

INTRACOM signed a new contract, budgeted at 6 million EUR (including VAT), with the Greek Social Security Foundation (IKA), the largest and most prominent social security organization of the country, for the implementation of the project 'Services provision of personnel and means for the roll-out of the medical services demand management system'.

INTRACOM was awarded the project following an international tender. This project constitutes part of IKA?s strategic plan for a comprehensive reorganization of the Foundation?s Health Care sector aiming at provision of complete care services to insured individuals; it also regards roll-out of the already successful medical services demand management pilot system in 50 more Health Care Units throughout Greece.

The Call Center for the Phone Appointment service has already been in pilot operation with great success in 24 Health Care Units in Athens, Thessalonica, and Patra. This service is supported by a data processing system, which enables scheduling of patients? appointments for medical, laboratory and hospital tests. The system targets fast and effective patient service. Those insured with IKA can -with a single phone call (call number 184) or by visiting the health care unit- arrange an appointment with a doctor, to their liking, on the day and time they desire. They will then call on their doctor at the time of appointment without having to stand in queue, will receive their diagnosis or straightforwardly the doctor?s referral (for required laboratory tests); finally, they can arrange their next appointment, if necessary. Previously, case-dispatching time exceeded 12 hours, whereas today is less than 2 hours. As a result of the success of this pilot system, IKA decided to extend its operation in 50 more Health Care Units, as provided in the new contract. The project involves supply, installation, and commissioning of data processing equipment (Servers, PCs and peripherals), network infrastructure and system software, as well as services provision pertaining to development/ optimization/ customization of software applications, data entry, personnel training and technical support. The estimated contractual time for system completion and initiation of its productive operation is 12 months. Furthermore, the system allows for interconnection with public and private medical diagnostic centers (i.e. those contracted with ΙΚΑ) for complete and comprehensive service of beneficiaries.

The majority of large-scale projects undertaken by INTRACOM aim at modernizing and improving the infrastructure of large organizations, directly conducing to a better organization and improved services provided to civilians; thus, these projects cover civilians? everyday needs for service, while the company itself contributes essentially to development of domestic know-how on state-of-the-art technologies.
