Following the semi-annual meeting of the FTSE/ASE Index Advisory Committee on Wednesday, 23 October 2002 a number of changes were announced:

For the FTSE/ASE 20, a total of one (1) addition, one (1) deletion and two (2) share weighting changes to existing constituents were approved.

For the FTSE/ASE Mid 40, a total of three (3) additions, three (3) deletions and two (2) share weighting changes to existing constituents were approved.

For the FTSE/ASE Smallcap, a total of twelve (12) additions, twelve (12) deletions and seven (7) share weighting changes to existing constituents were approved.

These changes will become effective after the close of business on the last trading day in November 2002 i.e. on Monday, 2 December 2002.

* Company will be demoted to the FTSE/ASE 40 Index.

* Companies will be demoted to the FTSE/ASE Smallcap Index.
