Following the semi-annual meeting of the FTSE/ASE Index Advisory Committee on Wednesday, 22 October 2003, the following changes were announced:

For the FTSE/ASE 20, a total of one (1) addition and one (1) deletion were approved. There were no Investability weighting changes.

For the FTSE/ASE Mid 40, a total of one (1) addition, one (1) deletion and three (3) Investability weight changes to existing constituents were approved.

For the FTSE/ASE Smallcap, a total of seven (7) additions, seven (7) deletions and one (1) Investability weight change to existing constituents were approved.

These changes will become effective after the close of business on the last trading day in November 2003 i.e. on Monday, 1 December 2003.

INVESTABILITY WEIGHT CHANGES:

There are no investability weight changes to this index
