Commencement of Trading of the Shares of TERNA ENERGY S.A.

The trading of the shares of the company TERNA ENERGY S.A. commenced today 14 November 2007. Mr.Spyros Capralos, Chairman of the Athens Exchange (ATHEX) in order to honor the Management of TERNA ENERGY S.A. for admitting its shares on ATHEX, welcomed the company's Board of Directors, the sponsors and the underwriters who undertook its admission on the ATHEX and all together "rang the bell" for the initiation of the trading session of ATHEX.

During the Initial Public Offering (IPO) for the listing of shares of TERNA ENERGY S.A. on ATHEX the amount of funds raised amounted to euro 300 million. The offer was oversubscribed (more than twice) by local investors and by more than four times by foreign institutional investors. This is one of the biggest public offering for 2007 and one of the biggest offering during the last years. Specifically, TERNA ENERGY S.A. with the funds it raised is admitted to trading on the Athens Exchange with a capitalization of about euro 1.2 billion and is included among the largest companies of the Greek market.

Mr.Spyros Capralos, Chairman of ATHEX, in a brief salutation during the relevant event, stated-inter alia-the following: "I hope that this day will mark the beginning of a new period with great development prospects for TERNA ENERGY S.A. 2007 is very significant for our market, as the funds that have been raised exceed all expectations. TERNA ENERGY is the third company in a row which is admitted to trading this year on ATHEX increasing thus the total number of raised funds by more than euro 10 billion".
