The Athens Stock Exchange welcomed today the management team and executives of Safe Bulkers Participations PLC to mark the commencement of trading for the company’s corporate bond on the Athens Stock Exchange’s Regulated Market.

To celebrate the occasion, the company’s CEO, Polys Hajioannou, rang the traditional opening bell, officially launching the trading session.

Welcoming the company’s representatives, Sokratis Lazaridis, CEO of the Athens Exchange Group, congratulated the management and the team of Safe Bulkers Participations PLC on the successful issuance. He emphasized that such initiatives benefit both Greek shipping and the Greek capital market.

Vasiliki Lazarakou, Chair of the Hellenic Capital Markets Commission, also congratulated the management and team of Safe Bulkers, highlighting that this milestone paves the way for corporate bond issuances within the shipping industry. Ms. Lazarakou extended her gratitude to the Capital Markets Commission’s team for their instrumental role in ensuring that issuing companies can efficiently and timely raise capital through the Athens Stock Exchange.
