The Athens Stock Exchange, as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the services, products, and tools provided within the Greek capital market ecosystem, announces changes to the "Ground Rules for the Management & Calculation of ATHEX Index Series". 

The objectives of the Athens Stock Exchange include:
•    Enhance the representativeness of indices at the sectoral level,
•    Improve the liquidity criterion for the inclusion of companies in the indices,
•    Achieve a better weight distribution among the companies included in the indices,
•    Adapt to changing market conditions driven by new company listings,
•    Capture the performance of smaller-cap companies that were not adequately covered by the existing index structure.
 

Athens Stock Exchange maintains a continuous objective of strengthening the dynamics of listed companies, facilitating the creation of new products and expanding investment options for both domestic and international investors.
 

The latest version of the "Ground Rules for the Management & Calculation of ATHEX Index Series" is available on the ATHEX website (here).
 

The changes will take effect from the upcoming regular review of the ATHEX Index Series composition (May 2025).
