The Athens Exchange "Invests in a life" - Supporter in the efforts of Greek athletes that will participate in the 8th Special Olympic World Winter Games in Nagano, Japan.
The Athens Exchange decided to allocate 20% of the total revenues that will be generated in its trading session of Monday, February 14, 2005 in order to support the Greek athletes that will take part in the 8th Special Olympic World Winter Games, in Nagano, Japan. It is noted that the aforesaid day constitutes the birthday of the Special Olympics in Greece and the eve of carrying the Special Olympics Torch "Flame of Hope".
The Athens Exchange buttress strongly the efforts made by our athletes and supports the program "Invest in a life", which was also adopted by the largest stock exchanges of the world such as that of New York, London and Tokyo.
As Mr. Spyros Capralos, Chairman of the ATHEX Board of Directors points out: "This action constitutes a strategic choice of the social responsibility policy of the ATHEX to contribute actively in the efforts of appreciable institutions, such as the Special Olympics Hellas, in an effort to create an environment worthy of human dignity; an environment that respects diversity and encourages participation".
