Announcement
INTRALOT announces that according to information, on 5 March 2007, the competent Court in South Africa which reviewed the application of Uthingo (the current national lottery license holder and the second preferred bidder) has found that there were shortcomings in the information provided to the Minister by the National Lotteries Board in relation to the individual shareholders in both Uthingo and Gidani (in which INTRALOT through its subsidiary INTRALOT South Africa participates in), and therefore, the Minister will have to reconsider the process in relation to the above.
It should be noted that the existing license of Uthingo, expires on March 31, 2007 and according to law cannot be extended, while the starting date for the new license awarded to Gidani is April 1, 2007. The Company estimates that the Government of South Africa will take all measures to resolve this situation in order to avoid a temporary discontinuation of the national lottery game. Moreover, Gidani will be studying the detail of the Judgment and should the need arise will follow the appeal process. When more information is available INTRALOT will file a further announcement.
