A real time connection through ISDN - teleconference was realized between OTE and the University of Helsinki on Wednesday 2/8.During the teleconference O.T.E. presented the Hellenic experience concerning new technologies' applications with special reference to the programs of: tele-education, realized in co-operation with a private school and tele-medicine which is already under pilot operation at the regions of Epirus, Western Thessaly and Dodecanese.The invitation to O.T.E. derived from its successful presentation at the European exhibition Information Society Technology (IST 99) where it presented the program ?TELEREMEDY? realized under the European scheme ?Ten Telecom?.The teleconference took place within the framework of Helsinki ?City of Culture 2000? under the theme ?Knowledge, Technology and Future?, following an invitation of the Helsinki University, which at the same time celebrates its 360th anniversary with a series of various lectures and seminars.INFORMATION: tel. 6115107-8, 6117434 fax. 6115825
