ATHEXCSD is the "Greek Central Securities Depository SA", that provides Registry and Settlement services and the capacity of Manager of the Dematerialized Securities System.

Membership & Access in Custody Procedures    

Access to the Dematerialised Securities System entitled DSS Operators and DSS General Operators within the meaning of the relevant Regulation, under the specific discriminations as Operator, Custodian or Foreign Central Securities Depository.

Custody capacity can be obtained by a Credit Institution or an Investment Firm which:
  • has a license by the competent supervisory authority, for the services describes in element (a) of paragraph 2 of article 4 of law 3606/2007,or
  • has the capacity of Trading Member for the market in which are traded transferable securities that have been registered in DSS
  
     
     
Conditions of Participation   Technical Infrastructure

The candidate Member provides:

  • The necessary applications,
  • safekeeping permission and administration of financial instruments on behalf of clients
  

The Candidate Custodian Member in coordination with Members Support &Network Management Unit proceeds to Node installation, DSS terminals or DSS API activation and tests its connectivity with ATHEXCSD systems.
