Index Description

The FTSE/Athex Mid Cap index started on December 8, 1999 with 1,000 points as its basis. It was designed by Athens Exchange in cooperation with FTSE International Limited and the main goal of the index is to track, on a real time basis, the performance of the forty (40) biggest in terms of capitalization listed companies in Athens Exchange which follow in terms of ranking the shares that constitute the index FTSE/Athex 20.
