The Bank of Cyprus and Laiki Bank announce that the negotiations they have had with EUREKO Group for the acquisition by the latter of the participating interest the two banks hold in Universal Life Insurance Company Ltd has not materialised into an agreement.

The two banks will continue their discussions for the sale of their interest in Universal Life Insurance Company Ltd with other interested parties and will proceed with an announcement in case the discussions materialise into a preliminary agreement.
