The consolidated pre-tax profits of Frigoglass for 2000, after minorities, were doubled compared to 1999 reaching GRD 6.3 billion. Excluding GRD 2.1 billion, representing capital gains on sale of participations, group profits present an increase of 35%. EBITDA amounts to GRD 15 billion, increased by 33% versus last year. Respectively, consolidated net revenue increased by 31% reaching GRD 83.7 billion.The improved results are a reflection of revenue growth in all the business segments of the group. The commercial refrigeration division presented profits amounting to GRD 892 million and group operations in Nigeria contributed GRD 3 billion. Group's share in the profits of VPI, a PET resin production company, amounts to GRD 1 billion while the plastics division had a negative result of GRD 385 million. The glass operations in Greece and Bulgaria, for the part of the year owned by the group, posted a loss of GRD 350 million. These participations were sold in December 2000.
