In response to the letter of the Hellenic Capital Market Commission as of February 5, 2007, concerning press comments which want the company ELLINIKI TECHNODOMIKI TEΒ SA to participate in take-over talks with PANTECHNIKI SA, we announce that in the framework of the company''s enterprise development and value creation, for itself and its shareholders, transaction possibilities are being examined in areas which are in conjunction with the Group''s major activities. One such transaction possibility is the common publication cited above. As far as the relevant discussions between the interested parties of PANTECHNIKI SA are concerned, these have been temporarily discontinued. It is understood that in the case of any further events deemed necessary to be publicized, all relevant authorities and the investment public will be notified in due time.
