In reply to the Capital Market Commission letter dated 24-11-2006, Euromedica SA would like to make the following statement:
a) As already investors are informed with the companys announcement dated 17-11-2006, the Management of the Company has assigned to the international financial house LAZARD to find investors, mostly international ones, with interest to invest in the Company funds of Euro 100 mil, through the procedure of share capital increase.
b) With the successful completion of the above procedure, the company aims, under the authorization of the supervisory bodies, to use significant part of the raised capital, for further expansion of the Group in Attica, either through cooperation or/and acquisition of existing units in the Health Care Industry or with the creation of a new Unit.
c) Until the above procedures of raising capital being successful, the Company is not willing to act towards a potential stake in the company IASO SA.
In any case and independently from the above, we believe that a possible cooperation between the companies EUROMEDICA and IASO, would create significant synergies for the benefit of the shareholders of the two companies, as well as improvement of the services to the public.
