The M.J.Maillis Group announces the acquisition of United Packaging PLC in UK.

United Packaging PLC is a leading manufacturer and distributor of automatic stretch wrapping machines and film, with annual revenues of about 10 million GBP.

United Packaging PLC amongst other manufactures and markets, one of the very few available in the market, high-speed automatic stretch wrapping machines with the trade name ?Mancon?.

M.J. Maillis/s Group position in Europe is strengthened in the stretch business as this acquisition completes the production range of stretch machines made by SIAT, the Italy based subsidiary of the Group. The marketing of the Group's film consumables is also significantly strengthened by this acquisition.

Particularly in the UK where M.J. Maillis Group has a strong presence through Payne Strapping Systems Ltd, substantial synergies and economies of scale would be created as the two companies significantly complement each other.
