The Parent Company, according to the clarification of ELTE No 118AP/23.03.2006 and to the announcement of the Hellenic Capital Market Commission dated 24.03.2006, announces the following:
On 31.12.2005 the Parent Company adopted the method of calculating the provision for land restoration, in accordance with the provisions of the IFRIC 1 "Changes in existing Decommissioning, Restoration and similar Liabilities". This interpretation is applicable for annual periods beginning on or after 01.09.2004. The Parent Company applied the provisions of IFRIC 1 for the publication of the Annual Financial Statements of the year 2005. If the Parent Company applied the provisions of IFRIC 1 to the Interim Financial Statements of the first quarter of 2005, of the six month period ended 30 June 2005 and of the nine month period ended 30 September 2005, the impact to the financial data of the Parent Company would be as follows: (amounts in thousands Euro)

It should be noted that the impact to the financial data of the Parent Company and the Group is the same because there is no reason of applying IFRIC 1 to the financial statements of the subsidiaries. The above changes are included in the adjusted Interim Financial Data and Information of the Parent Company and the Group of the year 2005 which are shown at the web site of the Company (www.dei.gr).
