Athens, March 12, 2001. A contract concerning the study, construction, financing and operation of a car undreground parking station in the city-hall square of Veria, was signed between THEMELIODOMI S.A, its subsidiary PERIVALLON S.A, the construction company ATHONIKI TECHNICAL S.A and the Holly Church and Veria Municipality.Specifically, the project concerns the construction of a three-floor parking station with 210 seats and the construction of a Public Square and park on the ground floor surface. The underground parking station is constructed according to the Build Operate and Transfer (BOT) method and it will be completed in August 2002, while the operational rights are transferred to the undertaking companies scheme for 22 years.This specific project is expected to significantly improve the parking conditions in the center of the city of Veria. At the same time it is the first of a series of similar BOT projects that THEMELIODOMI S.A is interested for and studies in the large cities of Greece, which have intense parking problems.
