Blue Star Ferries is pleased to announce the completion of four years of continuous and successful presence with its fast, modern car-passenger ferry on the Dodecanese route.
The deployment of the Blue Star vessel introduced high quality services, contributed to the growth of the route in terms of traffic as well as inbound tourism at highly competitive times for the tourism and leisure industries and has continued to do so throughout its four-year presence on the route.
Blue Star Ferries commenced its service on the Piraeus-Dodecanese route on 22nd July, 2002, inaugurating a new era of sea travel to the Dodecanese by substantially reducing the journey time required and upgrading the quality of on board services offered.
In its four years on the route, Blue Star has charted a most successful course carrying over 1,582 sailings, 1,726,098 passengers, 298,636 private vehicles and 114,761 freight units, earning the reputation of the most popular vessel on the route.
Following the acquisition of car-passenger ferry Diagoras which will soon be deployed on the Dodecanese route, Blue Star Ferries will double the choice of quality, comfort, reliability and speed on offer for daily travel to the Dodecanese.
