DATAMED IMPLEMENTS THE INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR ?YGEIAS MELATHRON? HOSPITAL

Athens, June 19, 2001 · DATAMED S.A., a subsidiary of the ALTEC Group (ALTEC GA) (AICr.AT) signed a contract with the Personnel Health Care Fund of National Bank of Greece, effectively undertaking the project of fully implementing the Information Technology Management System for ?Ygeias Melathron? Hospital.

The project relates to the installation of medico//s, a product of S.M.S. company, the only IT solution adapted in Greek that provides for the full coverage of all Hospital Administration needs as well as the maintenance of Electronic Medical Files. The proposed solutions by Shared Medical Systems (S.M.S.), the largest provider of IT systems solutions for the Health Care industry, have been installed in more than 5,000 hospitals worldwide, with 1,573 located in Europe. DATAMED S.A. is the exclusive representative of medico//s for Greece and Cyprus.

The project's framework includes an M.I.S. subsystem, which aims to monitor hospital operations, extract statistical and managerial reports, as well as to allow connection with the financial services. This project will be completed and delivered by the end of this year.
