Athens, July 3, 2001 · DATAMED S.A., a subsidiary of the ALTEC Group (ALTEC GA) (AICr.AT) signed a contract with the ?Onassis Cardiac Surgery Center?, assuming the project for the implementation of the hospital's Information Technology Management System.

The project relates to the installation and upgrade of medico//s, a product of the S.M.S. company, which is the only IT solution adapted in Greek that provides for the full coverage of all Hospital Administration needs as well as the maintenance of Electronic Medical Files. The proposed solutions by Shared Medical Systems (S.M.S.), the largest provider of IT systems solutions for the Health Care industry, are installed in more than 5,000 hospitals worldwide, with 1,573 located in Europe. DATAMED S.A. is the exclusive representative of medico//s for Greece and Cyprus.

The project's framework includes an M.I.S. subsystem, which aims to monitor hospital operations, extract statistical and managerial reports, as well as connect to the financial services. This project will be completed and delivered by January 2002.
