The management of the Company HELLENIC DUTY FREE SHOPS S.A., in response to an article of the newspaper IMERISIA during the weekend 13-14.05.2006, regarding the exporting activities of its subsidiary HELLENIC DISTRIBUTIONS S.A., informs the investing public that its subsidiary company strictly follows all the necessary procedures for the completion of its exporting activities.

More specifically, from the beginning of the cooperation between the subsidiary company with the companies PHILIP MORRIS WORLD TRADE and PAPASTRATOS S.A. on 01.07.2005 (announced to the ASE and the investing public on 25.05.2005) the subsidiary has completed 7 exports amounting to euro 275,317 (euro 179,895 for 2005 and euro 95,422 for 2006), accounting for less than 1.0% of the subsidiaries' sales for 2005, while for those exports the subsidiary possesses all the legal documents.
The management of the Company will proceed with a further announcement regarding any developments on the issue.
