Results for the Financial year 2020 Unibios Holdings SA

Marginal Profitability Despite the Consequences of the Health Crisis

 

UNIBIOS Holdings Group of Companies S.A. announced the financial results for fiscal year 2020 based on International Financial Reporting Standards (IAS).

 

During the 2020 financial year, the consolidated sales of the UNIBIOS Group decreased by 12,5%, from ¤8,340 thousand to ¤7,300 thousand. 

 

The Group's total gross profits for the financial year 2019 decreased by 21,4% compared to the previous financial year and amounted to ¤2,703 thousand, compared to   ¤3.437 thousands while total pre-tax profit (EBT) in 2019 amounted to   profits of ¤41 thousands against profits ¤305 thousands during the previous Year.

 

 Net results   after taxes for   the financial year 2020 amounted to a loss of ¤92 thousand    against profits     of ¤100 thousand in the previous year. The GroupΆs EBITDA amounted to ¤810 thousands or 11.1% of Sales as compared to ¤1.140 thousands or 13.7% of Sales during the previous year 2019.

 

The announcement of Unibios Holdings' annual pre-tax results shows that during the second 6 months of the 2020 financial year the company covered a significant part of the shortfall in the figures announced for the first half of the financial year as a result the pre-tax loss of ¤351 thousand for the first semester was converted to  annual pre-tax profits of  ¤41 thousand
