EUROMEDICA SA, following its plan for further expansion of its network, informs the investment public and its shareholders that in the 22/11/2006 it proceeded in the acquisition of the percentage of 47% of the medical centre "Αksonikos Tomographos of Serres", for the price of Euro 1.6 mill.
The medical centre that began its operation in 1989 is accommodated in a building in the centre of Serres, which is privately-owned at 50% and it has a network of 200 cooperated doctors.
It allocates computed tomography (CT) dept., magnetic tomography (MRI) 1 tesla, coloured triplex ultrasound, bone densitometry, digital radiology, mammography and panoramic x-ray.
The turnover of the medical centre for the running year is expected to approach euro 1.15 mill. and the pre taxes profits the Euro 600,000.
It is to be noted that with the above acquisition the network of the medical centres of EUROMEDICA in Greece amounts in 24, out of which the 13 are located in Attica (and the two of them will begin their operation soon), 4 in Thessalonica including the new laboratory "EVROGENETIKI", 2 in Crete, 2 in Volos and from 1 in Larissa and Serres.
