2005 Full-Year Results

DIONIC Group of Companies S.A. announced today its financial results for the fiscal year 2005, according to International Financial Reporting Standards (I.F.R.S).

The consolidated turnover amounted to EUR 67.6 million in 2005 versus EUR 61.3 million in the same period last year, up by some 10.2%.

The Group's gross profits also rose by 5.4% to EUR 11.7 million against EUR 11.1 million in the corresponding period a year ago.Respectively, the gross profit margin, as a percentage of turnvover, reached 17.4% in 2005 versus 18.2% in the same period a year ago, presenting a slight decrease, which is attributed mainly to the increased imports of the Group. More specifically, in 2005 the Group's exports increased by 23%, contributing with 22% to turnover versus 20% in 2004.
EBITDA rose by some 14.2% as they reached EUR 3.9 million in 2005 versus EUR 3.4 million in 2004.
EBIT also went up by some 22.1% in 2005 reaching EUR 3.3 million, while profits after taxes and minority interests increased by 133.7% to EUR 1.03 million in 2005 versus EUR 440 thousand in the same period a year ago.
In 2005 Dionic acquired a property in Avlona, Attica with a view to use it as a logistics center, while it has also established two new subsidiaries in Cyprus, which are expected to aid the company's efforts to expand its activities abroad.
